As a keen naturalist from a young age, I worked in the Natural History Museum in London and later the Museum of Western Australia before enbarking on a career as a journalist, broadcaster and author. My fascination for wildlife in all its forms has continued wherever I have lived in Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa. It remains as strong as ever here in my adopted homeland, southern Portugal. My hope with this blog is to share experiences of nature and to hear from others with a interest in wildlife in this region.
